Delta’s $100 Million Investment Fund: What It Means for you as a Builder in Delta State
At the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026 in Asaba, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced that the state has set aside $100 million (about ₦133–137 billion) as a Viability Gap Fund. The money is already available; it is not borrowed, and it is meant to reduce investment risks, turn summit agreements into real projects, create jobs, and grow the economy beyond oil. Vice President Kashim Shettima, WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and other leaders welcomed the move. Okonjo-Iweala called it a practical step that can help position Delta as a serious industrial and investment destination. For the Warri Builders Network community and founders across the Niger Delta, this is more than a government announcement. It is a signal.
